Plan, coordinate, direct and/or perform engineering assignments involving specifications for, and design changes or alterations to the aircraft interior configuration, components and equipment furnishings Review and action Airworthiness Directives to ensure compliance with applicable regulations Review Technical Directives such as Service Bulletins, Service Letters etc.

and standard of exterior and interior graphics Assist in the evaluation and planning for new aircraft and equipment Develop engineering procedures, standards and process specification to comply with manufacturer/vendors Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and other FAA requirements Develop and issues detailed work instructions and engineering drawings to accomplish alterations and repairs Develop customized procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing and other maintenance actions Establish build specifications and administers configuration control for interior components and equipment furnishings Develop and obtain regulatory approval for technical
data required for modifications/repairs of equipment furnishings and components Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to various departments in support of the day-to-day operation Ensure reliability performance standards are monitored and reviewed Conduct root cause analysis for systems and components to determine remedies for wear, malfunctions or premature removals Evaluate new methods, materials and equipment, which may provide cost benefits and take action to incorporate justified changes Other assignments as directed by the Manager of Engineering Minimum Experience and Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field; OR a demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of relevant work experience One (1) year experience in aviation or relevant experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical abilities Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations governing aircraft certification and maintenance Able to travel and/or work variable hours, flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that meets Jet Blue Airways’ insurance standards Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge Available for occasional overnight travel (20%) Currently in possession of a valid passport or other travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
