Additionally, this role will also identify and alleviate any process design and communication inefficiencies, at the project level, to reduce project and program costs.

Georgia Power's Distribution Grid Investment Plan is a 15-year plan focused on improving overall system reliability, reducing O&M expenses, and increasing customer satisfaction. This position will provide engineering oversight for hundreds of projects being completed over this timeframe (over $1B in investments), to accomplish our goal. Additionally, this role will serve as a leader during

storm restoration efforts. Job Requirements A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required, with an advanced degree a plus. Relevant industry certifications are a plus (i.

e. PE License, PMP Certification, etc. ). A minimum of 5 years of distribution experience is preferred in one of the following areas: Electric Power Distribution Operations, Protection and Control (P&C) Field Services, or P&C Applications. Working knowledge of Cym TCC and Cym Dist is preferred. Extensive knowledge of electric utility system operations, overhead and underground distribution design, distribution automation, and coordination of protective devices is preferred. Extensive knowledge of

Georgia Power's distribution design philosophies, Distribution Bulletins, the Engineering Handbook, and other relevant Company guidelines is preferred.

Extensive knowledge of Georgia Power's operating procedures is preferred. Working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC). Proven experience is writing and executing switching orders. Proven leadership abilities and demonstrated commitment to safety excellence. Experience working with contractors is a plus. Experience with relevant systems is preferred (i. e. Cym TCC, Cym Dist, TCMS, ARCOS, JETS, CSS, ARMS, and DISTVIEW). Proven record of dealing effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong communication and presentation skills to internal and external stakeholders. Influencer and champion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, through words and actions. Demonstrated ability to recognize high profile opportunities and respond, as needed, without prompting. Job Responsibilities Review engineering designs during scoping and engineering phases to ensure that Georgia Power's design practices are followed. Provide necessary input to contract engineers during scoping and detail engineering to optimize the financial, safety, and reliability impacts of Grid projects. Review construction prints and JETS estimates to ensure projects are being estimated accurately.

Monitor Georgia Power's mapping system and SCADA on circuits with active projects and ensure plans are in place to return the system to it's normal state as timely as possible. Optimize project designs to reduce project and program costs and maximize reliability. Analyze outage management system data, SCADA data, and metering data to determine root causes impacting distribution reliability. Develop presentations to present projects and status updates to management and various governing committees, as needed.
