This position will be located in Rancho Bernardo, CA. Hybrid capability
is offered. This position may be filled by either an Electronics Lead Engineer - FMS level or a Principal Electronics Lead Engineer - FMS level based on the qualifications listed.
Essential Functions: In partnership with Program Managers, oversee and guide the engineering team. Support program reviews as an engineering review authority and assist in resolution of program engineering challenges (technical, financial, and staffing). Support contract execution as definitive technical authority for all aspects of engineering on all program elements (hardware/software/support/test). Maintain awareness over technical activities within and across contract for requirements development, hardware/software
design, integration, and verification/validation activities.
Solve complex technical problems and identify solutions that are technically sound and executable by the program. Provide technical status and backssment to leadership and customers. Coordinate with the chair of the Technical Review Board regarding upcoming and current change packages. Facilitate technical support, review, and approval of engineering documents and drawings. Manage and control a system under test configuration for system-level III integration and test. Evaluate integration and test discoveries and work with the engineering team to develop appropriate corrective actions.
Support backssment of cost and schedule impacts of technical decisions. Ensure the program is adhering to engineering processes and best practices in design, development, fabrication/assembly, test, and sustainment of products for both internal and external customers and is compliant with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. As needed, coordinate with the functional organization to ensure execution of program statement of work and technical program requirements are met. Drive process development, continuous improvement, and affordability initiatives, coordinating across programs and functions as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications: Electronics Lead Engineer - FMS (T02): Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering with 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters; 0 Years with Ph D Active in-scope Do D Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain Do D Top Secret clearance Availability of 25% regional travel Basic Qualifications: Principal Electronics Lead Engineer - FMS (T03): Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering with 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with Ph D Active in-scope Do D Secret clearance is required with the ability to obtain Do D Top Secret clearance Availability of 25% regional travel Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of Mission Systems Familiar with current network products and technologies such as routers, firewalls, and switches Airborne platform integration Component Qualifications for Flight System Engineering, Requirements Derivation Salary Range: $107,300 - $160,900 Salary Range 2: $133,000 - $199,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
