The successful candidate will need to leverage a blend of communication skills with technical knowledge of SIEM, security logging and related infrastructure to assist in the operation and management of a cyber-security logging and monitoring
program. The candidate will maintain and support the health and availability of the SIEM platform and associated configurations. Communication skills, both oral and written, are key attributes of a successful candidate as process documentation and tracking skills are vital in coordinating tasks, and appropriately managing targeted data sources, mapped use cases, or operational process development.

Enterprise Security Application and associated components. Maintain Splunk Enterprise Security configuration Assist the content engineering team in developing security-focused content for Splunk, including creation of complex threat detection logic and operational dashboards Work with cross-functional teams to proactively improve on existing integration automation/workflows.
Provide on-call support and ensure technical issues are quickly resolved and help implement strategies and solutions to reduce the likelihood of recurrence. Act as a key point of escalation for teammates, provide guidance and mentoring using adaptive communication style that promotes learning Work with application owners and Cyber Threat Operation Center (CTOC) to develop alerting requirements for anomalous activity.
Perform data quality tasks necessary to achieve the greatest efficiency for the platform, and highest fidelity of alerts and search responses. Develop a document repository and the supporting policies, processes, and guidelines needed to manage Splunk ES and meet enterprise security, audit, and compliance requirements. Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience2. Deep specialized and/or broad functional knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security3. CISSP Certification4.
Previous experience in leading complex IT projects HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Splunk Certification - Splunk Certificated Administrator minimum, Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect preferred, Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) Administrator or 3 years of Splunk ES experience. Experience working with distributed Splunk infrastructure, specifically Search Head Clusters. Cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP) with experience preferred in managing Splunk site-to-site peering. Experience working with Splunk ES Frameworks and advanced Splunk concepts - Assets and Identities, Threat Intelligence, Risk Based Alerting, MLTK, etc.
Mid-High level understanding of applied enterprise information security technologies including, but not limited to, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering and mainframe security Extensive experience implementing, architecting and administering Splunk Enterprise Security in complex deployment configurations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Mid-High-level experience in technical writing and networking diagrams.
