Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) Office of the Chief Technologist (CT) is seeking a Sr. Principal Electromechanical Engineer. This position will be located onsite in Redondo Beach, CA. In this role you will apply electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components; and quality testing. You will support and participate in the design, test,

modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead and direct a technical cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development Have responsibility for the technical performance, cost, schedule and risk management functions for your programs Prepare and deliver technical and programmatic performance reports to senior leadership (internal and customer) Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, Computer Engineering or other Engineering field from an accredited institution with 9 years of experience in design, development, or system engineering of space hardware or software or other relevant technical field; OR Master's of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, Computer Engineering or other Engineering field from an accredited institution with 7 years of experience in design, development, or system engineering of space hardware or software or other relevant technical field; OR Ph D in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, Computer Engineering or other Engineering field from an accredited institution with 4 years of experience in design, development, or system engineering of space hardware or software or other relevant technical field Minimum 1 year of technical leadership experience in technology development Technical experience in mechanical/ mechanism applications, and integration & testing Proficiency in MS Office products and CATIA Active Top Secret and SCI Preferred Qualifications Master of Science or Ph D Degree in Science or Engineering field from an accredited institution Proven technical leadership experience managing a multi-disciplinary engineering team including technologists and subject matter experts Familiarity with NGSP processes and procedures Excellent verbal & written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership abilities Prior experience or leadership role in technology development, applications, resiliency, and/or space security programs CAM training and experience Top Secret and SCI security clearance with completed Counter Intelligence Polygraph Exam Minimum of one active SAP access Proficiency in MS Office products, multiple CAD product, and FEMAP/ other analysis tool Salary Range: $133,000 - $199,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
