Mine planning includes backssment of ground control needs (in conjunction with rock mechanics engineers), ventilation backssments (in conjunction with ventilation engineers), geological constraints or opportunities (with production geologists), and estimations of economic viability against varying operating parameters.
Assist in yearly production budgets, monthly and quarterly forecasts, manpower budgets, capital budgets, and reconcile forecasts with achievements. Projects range from the simple to very complex and encompass all facets of the operation, from the surface physical plant to underground infrastructure installations.

Preferred: Proven Mine Project planning, estimation, procurement, and scheduling experience. Working knowledge with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 scheduling software. Familiarity with rock mechanics and mine ventilation principles.
Proficient use of the Vulcan/Deswik or other 3D mine design planning software packages. Familiarity with cost reporting and cost tracking analysis Education and Experience: Two to five years mine engineering experience.
