Engineering Interns work in multi-disciplinary teams and provide support to the research and development of the processes, instruments, and systems used to derive benefits from nuclear energy and radiation. The total number of interns and start dates are subject to workload and business conditions.
The location for this position is in Reston, Virginia. General Job Duties Nuclear Engineering interns may be responsible for: developing the calculations associated with nuclear facilities understanding the regulatory requirements and processes for nuclear facilities coordinating development and presentation of materials for meetings with regulators providing direct support to other engineering
disciplines for nuclear-related matters Basic Qualifications Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Nuclear Engineering at an accredited college or university Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in the above field Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Preferred Qualifications Currently enrolled in a Master of Science degree program in Nuclear Engineering at an accredited college or university Completed relevant coursework
