electronics or other comparablemedium and eight years of Navy gas turbine experience or no degree and a minimum of twelve yearsdocumented experience leading the operation, maintenance, and repair of US Navy gas turbinesystems. • Must have strong knowledge of the operation of LM2500 Gas Turbine propulsion systems, Allison 501K-17/34 Gas Turbine Generators and associated support/auxiliary systems.
• Must have strong troubleshooting and repair skills in accordance with approved technical manuals, schematics and blueprints. • Must be a qualified watch stander, stand watches during underway missions. Train, schedule andoversee qualified subordinates to the underway propulsion team watch bill.
• Must lead the propulsion Team including the training of subordinates, assigning PMS schedules, oversee the maintenance and ensure quality controls. • Must be able to Must report up the chain-of-command including Chief Engineer, Ship’s Master and Marine Manager.
• Must be able to provide status and present status as required. • Must be able to participate in and provide training instructions. • Must be able to support overnight underway evolutions (includes regular housekeeping/cleaning). • Must serve as member of ship’s Damage Control Fire Party. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. • Have a valid driver’s license with own transportation. • Must have Microsoft
Office skills (word processing, spreadsheets, data entry) and able to write clear, detailed reports.
• Able to follow company policies and procedures and provide inputs for task order deliveries. Preferred Skills: • GSM/GSE “C” School. • Familiar with CG-47 or DD-963 Class Ships. • EOOW, PACC, EPCC or Engine room operator qualified.
