Requisition ID: 71608 Job Description Data Engineer Summer/Fall Co-Op (June to December) We are looking for a Data Science, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering graduate student to join our amazing SAW yield team. The hire will be working closely with the team in Japan and
Singapore to identify different data sources and file formats available the impending YMS project. The ideal candidate is someone with data sources, file format, and data structure knowledge.
The Data Engineer will support our software developers, database architects, data analysts yield team, product/Test team and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. Job Responsibilities Work closely with our Asia FABs to identify different file formats and locations for our metrology, cd and electrical
data. Assemble large and complex data sets from excel macros at different locations to a centralized location for easy access Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability. Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it. Collaborates with yield, process, product/Test Engineering and IT team to improve data models that feed to yield mining tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
Performs data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues Qualification/Skills/Experience Potential candidate should be a data engineer, data science, electrical engineer and computer science, data engineering knowledge will be preferrable. Currently enrolled for graduate and undergraduate study. Experience in semiconductor process Good data analysis skills and familiar with semiconductor data mining tools Problem solving and troubleshooting knowledge is required.
Ability to work independent and communicate effectively. The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U. S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U. S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U. S.
