Requisition ID: 71084 Summary This position is for a Validation Engineer Intern/Co-op in the Mobile Solutions Business (MSB) Unit in Skyworks Newbury Park, CA design center. You will be part of a VE engineering group in support of high-volume power amplifier products and sub-systems
for cellular handset applications. You will assist VE to setup tests, gather, analyze and summarize the data. You will also help design engineers optimize the module by tuning.

& RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with a senior VE to setup tests and gather data for compliance matrix Perform lab testing using RF test equipment and analyzing/summarizing the data Work with a design engineer to help optimize matching circuits for better module performance Software Tools Used: Agilent ADS Matlab Excel Microsoft Office/Outlook Hardware Tools Used: Network Analyzers Spectrum Analyzers Signal Generators Digital Receivers Load-Pull/Tuners RF Probe Stations Requirements BSEE or MSEE (preferred) student with emphasis in RF and Power amplifier theory or equivalent.
Must be currently enrolled at university and be able to complete Summer/Fall Co-op term: June - December 2024 Hands on experience in lab debugging Circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/Golden Gate/spectre RF Understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth and stability.
A self-starter and team player with ability to learn on the job. Good communication skills both verbal and written. The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U. S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U. S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour.
Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U. S.
