In this position, you will have the opportunity to innovate, develop software requirements, provide technical maintenance, test, and troubleshoot. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to implement complex maintainability expectations and drive software delivery.
The ideal candidate is motivated with a strong desire to work in an exciting fast-paced environment. What you will be doing: Establish Firmware and software requirements development. Design, architect, development, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded firmware and software applications. Develop test simulators and test GUI applications.
Lab support and troubleshooting of embedded systems. Participate in risk management and failure mode analysis. Write software test protocols and reports.
What we are looking for: Must be able to work onsite in a fast paced " start-up" culture. 5 + years of embedded/firmware software development experience and/or a Bachelor’s in a scientific/engineering discipline or electrical/scientific discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional experience with real-time embedded software development using C/C++. Hardware/Software integration and debugging proficiency. Must possess excellent knowledge and understanding of OOD and OO methodology, full SDLC
processes, ICE/JTAG, UML, sequence diagrams, static analyzer, and software unit testing.
Ability to read and interpret electronics schematics. Provide expertise in the common embedded digital communication protocols and development of HAL interfaces. Proficient understanding of digital filter design and translating offline algorithms into a real-time embedded system is preferred. Must have experience in the tool chain and build environment set up. Experience with commercial RTOS and/or embedded programming strongly preferred. Strong medical device software development experience is preferred. Must be familiar with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
Your valuable capabilities: Ability to communicate effectively with Engineers and other Technicians. Demonstrates working experience with digital signal processors and FPGAs.
