We are seeking a Summer Intern Engineer to work with our advanced development team,

a group of semiconductor device, process, and design experts, in development of compound semiconductor technologies used in the manufacturing of various RF functional blocks for cellular and Wi Fi applications.

You will gain real world industrial experience, while contributing to key development projects with a diverse team of experts. Job Responsibility Design and evaluate device test structures Performance data gathering / testing / parameter extraction and statistical analysis of Ga As or Ga N devices, passive components, and circuits Establish methodologies/solutions for expanding test development through programming, automation development Assist engineers with developing new, higher performance devices through device simulations Job Requirements Must be currently enrolled in a graduate program, studying Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Strong communication skills needed, both written and verbal. Understanding of Compound Semiconductor (Ga As and/or Ga N based devices) stack-ups and their influence on device performance Knowledge of basic RF testing equipment Knowledge and interest in computer programming to drive automation in measurements and data analysis Basic understanding of device fabrication process steps, yield analysis and DC/RF device parameters are a plus The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.

S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U. S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U. S.
