control and integration of fluid power systems, including technical drawings and schematics.
Review drawings, plans and other customer documents / specifications in order to prepare detailed technical proposals involving products and services offered. Evaluate and propose changes in equipment, processes or use of materials, which would result in cost reduction or operational improvements for the customer. Provide technical services to customers relating the use, operation and maintenance of products represented. Develop business relationships with engineers and other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial and other establishments to create solutions that incorporate our products and systems.
Build and maintain professional working contact with key suppliers of products sold. Additional responsibilities: Coordinate projects with branch personnel, including sales and shop associates. Provide technical assistance to branch personnel. Travel to customer locations occasionally required. Mechanical hands-on assistance may be required on occasion. Qualifications: Engineering degree. Mechanical engineering preferred 10+ years fluid power system design and/or technical support experience. Working knowledge of Design CAD or Solid Works Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar Relationship building skills at all levels with customers, prospective customers, and the Spencer team.
