In this position, will collaboratively define system level requirements and functions, then translate these requirements to hardware design. You will be responsible for analog, mixed signal, and high-speed digital circuit design and simulation, schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, component selection, prototype bring-up, design validation and design documentation.

for the selection and evaluation of electrical components and subsystems Responsible for electrical test and prototyping process, infrastructure, and equipment Responsible for planning, execution, and reporting for design validation, electrical performance, and compliance with industry standards Responsible for board build and bring up, including working with domestic and overseas contractors and suppliers Work closely with FPGA engineers, mechanical engineers, system engineers, and related cross Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or similar field; Advanced degree is a plus At least 6-12+ years of industry experience in hardware design Experience
and strengths in analog, mixed signal, and high-speed digital circuit design Experience designing multi-layer, high-density and complex PCB Experience in DFM, DFT and/or DFX and best practices for power integrity and signal integrity Experience and proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout design tool, Altium Designer preferred but will also consider other CAD software packages Experience with high-speed differential data interfaces such as any of the following would be ideal: MIPI CSI 2, LVDS, USB, Ethernet; And serial peripheral interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART Experience out of industries such as medical device, consumer electronics, aerospace, electronic manufacturing, etc.
Experience in 3D sensing technologies and/or RF or Radar Based systems or similar is a plus but not required Experience with high-speed analog mixed signal design is highly desired The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Skills & Qualifications: BSEE or equivalent engineering degree required. Desired: 2-3 yrs design & release of automotive or commercial vehicle electrical systems or industry-related background. Experience in battery chemistry and battery applications within the commercial truck market. Design and application of electrical architecture and system integration and its impact to reliability of battery systems. Experience in system design using Mentor Graphics.
Knowledge of DC power distribution, management, protection, fusing, practices and tools desired. Proficiency using Requirements Management tools, Systems Engineering tools, Creo or other 3D CAD software also desired. Engineering knowledge of heavy duty commercial truck safety systems, regulations, especially in the areas of: operating, service, and performance environments. Experience creating engineering documentation including preparation of component drawings, system schematics and diagrams, responding to Requests for Engineering Information, writing Engineering Change Notices, test coordination, support for production, and customer service.
Solid understanding of Design for Six Sigma and Six Sigma techniques. Willing to learn and use new engineering processes and techniques and be resourceful in solving complex technical problems. Experience in product development and new product implementation. Able to work in a team environment. The salary range for Electrical Design Engineer-Low Voltage Battery System is $72,200-$108,000 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
