The Core Platform Engineering team owns and manages key technology products that enable Chase businesses. Job responsibilities Lead a team of Architects and partner with Technology and Product leaders, Risk & Controls, Data & Analytics peers to align and deliver on the architecture strategy

As the Head of Architecture & Core Platform Engineering, you will play a critical role in setting the architecture strategy and ensuring its execution for the Technology Product portfolio This individual works closely with peers, stakeholders, and teams across Consumer & Community Banking to influence, create alignment, and develop plans to achieve the vision The leader actively engages in implementing architectural processes that enable delivery teams, support rapid innovation, modernize applications and development lifecycles, and facilitate migration to the public cloud Engage and advocate with stakeholders, including the Heads of Architecture across all lines of business, Security and

Compliance, and the Chief Architect Represent Core Platform Engineering at the Technology Architecture Council, the Technology Engineering Forum, and other Product Cabinets (such as Identity and Access Management) Contribute to delivering quality-driven architecture and engineering practices across products Make technology decisions using data and understanding product usage patterns Focus on solving engineering problems and ensure all architectural activities add value and enable developers, modernizing processes as needed.

Provide oversight and escalation of architectural risks related to technology controls, vendors, or other risk scenarios Lead the Architecture team with a platform mindset and a passion for people leadership rooted in helping the team do their best work, hiring, and performance mentoring, and champion the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience 20 years of professional experience in Technology/Software Engineering Leadership Deep expertise with cloud technologies (AWS) - compute, storage, network and data Experience in architecting complex large scale distributed systems with resiliency (kafka) Experience with micro-services architecture, frameworks & multiple tech stacks (such as java, python) Experience in API Management platforms, API Gateways, IAM and a deep understanding of API technologies - REST, Graph QL, g RPC Experience with high performing, secure applications and building security into the DNA of products; and a champion of SRE practices, a culture of clean code, and mechanisms and tools to ensure a frictionless high quality dev environment Experience building, mentoring and managing high performing architects, principal engineers and working with cross-functional teams.

Successfully partnered with architecture stakeholders across lines of business to deliver results Strong architecture acumen, outcome and delivery focused Experience building configurable, scalable, extensible, highly available (Saa S) platforms is a plus Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Advanced Degree in Computer Science Deep expertise with products related to APIs, SDKs, Micro services' frameworks, Developer Platforms (including Cloud native tooling), IAM (Identity and Access Management) Experience engaging stakeholders across an organization to set strategy, align on priorities and deliver to a roadmap while managing to changing business needs and requirements Passion for building high-quality developer experiences and a commitment to product excellence Experience working at code level One of our products includes a microservices framework that supports security, controls, event streaming, messaging, data stores, and governance.

The technology portfolio also includes a product analytics application and an API management platform that supports both first-party and third-party developers. Our team also focuses on Infrastructure as Code, with a model-driven, policy-based approach to provisioning, lifecycle management, and governance of cloud infrastructure.
