About the Role: We are looking for a technically-focused Engineering Manager to lead both direct reports and individual contributors from other teams (in an internal-to-Crowd Strike open source software paradigm) in the support, maintenance, and continued functional development of our data framework and services.

What You'll Do: Lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the core data framework and corresponding services Work with various stakeholders, including peer teams and senior leadership, to define a roadmap which adapts to our evolving needs Define and maintain engineering standards, policies, and procedures Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting a culture of bottom-up responsibility, continuous learning, and improvement Guarantee continuous delivery of new features, functional enhancements, and bug fixes to the global customer base

Lead the team in triaging, prioritizing, and delivering prompt resolutions to escalations from customers while maintaining clear communications with the field Help define the technical strategy, while also playing an important role in delivery What You'll Need: BS/MS/Ph D in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience Experience in software engineering as an Engineer, Technical Lead, or a Technical Manager, with at least 2 years of experience in a hands-on managerial role Technical design and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance Ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels, from executive staff to individual engineerinteractionperience working with remote teams and individuals Demonstrable track record of mentoring engineers and promoting their career development Experience writing production quality code in Python, Go, or C++Familiarity with both relational databases and schema-less " No SQL" or key-value stores Proficiency in transforming structured and unstructured data Bonus Points: Experience developing code within a well-defined information architecture Experience building data model driven declarative systems and distributed databaseinteractionperience with developing cloud-based or similar highly concurrent, distributed systeminteractionperience with Erlang, Haskell, Scala, OCaml, or other functional programming paradigminteractionperience developing software for high-assurance, safety critical, or life critical domains Familiarity with generative or formal software verification methods, such as TLA+ and Agda#LI-IL1#LI-OC1#LI-Remote Pando Logic.
