Provides support to pilot production for new products and resolves manufacturing issues to ensure rapid and effective transition to volume manufacturing. Assists engineering in the use of DFx principles in product design and cost reduction. Perform other duties as assigned. 3 years in a manufacturing engineering role Experience with and understanding of DFx Engineering Principles, New Product Development Processes, and Product Safety Design Requirements.
Experience in and strong knowledge of Change Management, Problem Solving & Trouble Shooting, Communication Skills, Product Technology, Customer Orientation, Personal Effectiveness, Project Management, Team Skills, and Quality and Organization Skills. Proficient in use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, ECO Writing, and Flowcharting. Develops and maintains production documentation to describe the assembly and testing of product Provides hands on technical support to manufacturing. Develops process and
procedures documentation Incorporate Lean Manufacturing concept to improve operation processes Analyze and resolve work problems; identify resources as needed.
Act as a liaison with production to perform time studies, learn new manufacturing methods and processes to reduce costs and improve quality. Carries our process improvement, problem resolution, project management and if applicable employee training on manufacturing processes. Preferred Skills BS, Engineering or MS, Engineering Experience with and understanding of Sheet Metal Fabrication, Metal Working/Machining, Plastic Manufacturing, Plumbing/Piping Fabrication, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance Analysis, Test and Tooling Specification and Development.
