Position Summary: The Industrial Engineer will play a pivotal role in optimizing operational processes within our organization. This position involves analyzing and improving systems, workflows, and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity. The Industrial Engineer will collaborate with various departments to implement strategic solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct time and motion studies to analyze work methods, equipment utilization, and overall efficiency. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Design and implement effective production layouts, considering factors such as workflow, ergonomics, and safety. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline communication and processes between departments. Develop and maintain training instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in operations. Utilize statistical methods and tools to analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement.
Evaluate and recommend changes to equipment, materials, or systems to improve efficiency. Collaborate with senior engineers to implement lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and optimize resource utilization. Assist in the planning and implementation of new production lines or facilities upgrades. Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues, present findings to manufacturing engineering manager, and propose possible corrective actions. Provide training and support to employees on new processes and improvements.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to backss the effectiveness of implemented changes. Collaborate with manufacturing engineering manager and production manager to develop and implement strategic plans for process optimization. Additional duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college. A minimum of one year in an engineering role is required. Experience with lean six-sigma principles and methodologies preferred (no belt or certification required).
