& Development (PT&D) organization in supporting a laboratory focused on the testing and development of medical combination devices and packaging. Accountabilities: The Scientist will support and lead technical activities related to manufacturing, feasibility & characterization, verification testing, problem solving, and issue resolution activities utilizing advanced forensics and play a key role in support of design and packaging changes.

The position will have a key responsibility to oversee a device and packaging laboratory, maintain testing equipment, conduct testing, and manage the procedures that govern the laboratory. The role holder is expected to create effective partnerships,

manage expectations, and resolve issues positively and effectively whilst ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with Astra Zeneca procedures and external regulatory policies and standards, including design controls and risk management.

Essential Skills/Experience: - B. S. or M. S. degree in biomedical/mechanical engineering, material sciences, medical sciences or related subject area/technical field. - Minimum 1-5 years of experience in technical role supporting combination products, medical device technologies, and/or packaging applications. - Is expected to be familiar with laboratory environment, material testing, measurement testing instruments associated with medical device

development, combination products, and/or rigid and flexible packaging.

- Technical writing, GMP/GLP- Problem Solving. Provides solutions to problems of diverse scope by applying basic scientific principles.
