Based in our Houston, Texas location, you will provide technical leadership in the design, development, and maintenance of software and firmware components utilized in the Gas Chromatograph product family. Your duties and responsibilities will be completed under the general guidance of the Global Software Manager for Gas Analysis. You will exercise independent judgment and decision-making

within the scope of this job. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Perform requirements capture and analysis Develop software/firmware architecture and concept proposals Participate in cyber-security risk analysis and the development of associated mitigation strategies Co-ordinate estimation of development tasks to support project and software release planning Provide technical review of other team members' output including design, code, and test plan reviews Manage and direct other software team members at the Houston site Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Software Developers, and Testers within a Scrum framework and other functions within a global team Co-ordinate

technical support for field or manufacturing issues Ensure compliance with software quality and process controls as specified by the Global Software Manager Provide recommendations to the Global Software Manager on appropriate new tools, technologies, 3rd party components, industry best practices, etc.

For This Role, You Will Need: Engineering degree within software/computer science/electronics engineering or demonstrated knowledge at the same level Minimum 7 years of experience with embedded software development, preferably on a Linux platform Experience in managing software developers Strong technical knowledge of C and C++. Device driver development experience, preferably on the Linux platform. Development experience with low-level hardware interconnect protocols, i. e. CAN, SPI, UART, etc. Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Working knowledge of Yocto project and/or Devicetree Development experience working with ADC or DAC devices Experience with communications protocols, i. e.
