Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager 2 in support of the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated

infrastructure. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You'll Get To Do: This position is a dual-hat position requiring the candidate to perform functional management activities as well as program responsibilities. It is expected that the Functional management role will comprise up to 20% of the candidate's time. The candidate will have 80% technical responsibilities: supporting SDS programs as an engineer within their same function. Candidate will act across multiple organizations to drive execution. As a Functional Manager, you will be required to provide a wide range of people leadership, mentoring activities and foster a culture that allows employees to learn and grow.

You will facilitate and execute the performance management cycle for your direct reports. This includes setting goals, mid and end-of-year reviews as well as performance evaluations and compensation. This role will also require you to mentor your direct reports in many ways. You will be their first line of contact for things such as career growth, training and certifications funding, stretch assignments, etc. Essential Functions: Promotes the professional development of the Homeroom workforce and fosters a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth, and continuous improvement.

Managing and guiding direct report annual goals, performance evaluations and compensations reviews Ensure accurate time charging and timecard approvals Conflict resolution, managing performance issues and improvement plans Career growth mentoring for team of direct reports Aligning direct reports to technical roles based on program needs Helping identify stretch assignments and opportunities - Work as the integration lead for all elements across the weapon system that interact with LGC Specific Hardware.

As a Technical Manager, The Electrical Engineering Manager 2 will lead a dynamic cross-functional team on the development of the Command and Launch Command-and-Control System. This position will also be responsible for managing cost, schedule, technical statement of work, functional planning/guidance, as well as interfacing with customer and suppliers. Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following: Management oversight of team technical tasking to ensure performance to SOW requirements Driving on-time delivery of electrical designs and products (drawings/models/layouts/roadmaps and analysis) to support program timelines/milestones Lead teams in a fluid environment that requires teamwork with other Command and Launch elements and our Customer.

Drive a culture of compliance to command media, standards, and best practices Brief program status, risks, and technical challenges to leadership and the customer Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with other organizations to develop: Requirements and Verification, Interfaces and Architecture, Specialty Engineering and Modeling & Simulation.

Job Qualifications: You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 6 years of relevant experience; 4 years with Master's Degree; 2 years of experience with a Ph D.

Must be a US Citizen with an active Do D Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years. At least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule 2 years of experience with electrical design and analysis Experience with leading product design reviews (Internal Design Reviews, PDR, CDR) Experience with leading a small team of engineers on a product development These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Experience with nuclear hardening strategic systems Experience with Electrical Component, Subsystem and System design development, integration and test Experience with detailed design and engineering and manufacturing development Excellent technical writing skills Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills required to work closely with both internal staff and external customers and partners #GBSDLeadership Salary Range: $138,100 - $207,100The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
