Technology and the Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI), you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, network engineering, and cybersecurity, to design, implement and maintain security solutions that safeguard our network infrastructure and computer systems.

You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and potential threats, conducting risk backssments, and developing and implementing security solutions to mitigate risks. You will also be involved in incident response, security monitoring, and security policy development. The Cyber Security Engineer will also work in liaison with other agencies to identify, monitor, backss, and counter cyber threats.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform security backssments. Plan, develop, implement, and update agency information security strategy.

Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware. Educate and train staff on security best practices. Works with data to identify patterns. Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management. Monitors threat intelligence feeds to identify a range of threats, including indicators of compromise and advanced persistent threats (APTs). Identifies the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of potential threats through the MITRE ATT&CK or similar frameworks. Work with the security

team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.

Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard. Stay up to date on information technology trends and cyber security standards. Perform other related and necessary tasks as needed. Minimum Qualification Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college; and 2. At least two (2) years' experience administering Information Security Software and Controls; and 3. At least two (2) years' experience analyzing Security System Logs, Security Tools, and Data; and 4. At least two (2) years' experience creating, modifying, and updating Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).

Additional Qualifications: Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Superior interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and investigative skills. Ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines. Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy and security backssments. Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with staff in a team-oriented environment. Must be able to independently learn and master new skills and subject matters. Current knowledge of diverse products and services related to cyber security and IT organization.

Preferred Qualifications: Related experience in Information Technology or Information Security. Security Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Security Essentials Certifications, GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst, Global Information Assurance Certification.
