The successful leader will demonstrate seasoned experience leading the product development of Saa S enterprise platforms and a technical engineering background. The SVP Engineering knows the right metrics to measure success, demonstrates
consistent and impactful execution amidst competing priorities, and acts as a respected servant leader. In this critical role, the SVP Engineering will act as the Leader for the growing Engineering Industries, Revenue Cloud.
In this role, the SVP Engineering will manage, grow, and inspire a world-class team of software engineers and leaders. The Industries Cloud will be responsible for bringing new, industry leading product capabilities to market, enabling innovation, and delivering exceptional customer experiences in our vertical industries. The ideal candidate is a senior engineering executive with a proven track record of successfully leading and growing multi location teams in delivering
complex systems and products. What you will do: Fulfill the role as the leader of Salesforce's Industries Engineering group - mentoring, growing, and running a world-class, high functioning, highly productive, agile, inclusive, motivated, and distributed engineering organization Be plugged into our customer's needs, and closely partner with the product organization to build a vision and roadmap that meet business goals and revenue targets, while aligning on objectives, priorities, trade-offs, and risks Implement best engineering management and organizational development practices as we continue to scale Be deeply involved in driving architecture, execution, and delivery Make and own critical decisions and be proactive in foreseeing and resolving issues.
Ensure teams are accountable and have clear priorities and adequate resources. Build a world class engineering team: Foster and facilitate the professional growth and development of our engineering staff as well as lead effective cross-functional collaboration across groups within the organization. Build organizational capability within these teams by recruiting and retaining outstanding talent and providing mentoring, training (internal and external), and other opportunities for professional growth and development.
Foster a culture of technical excellence and service ownership Collaborate with our industry go-to-market team to prioritize industry-specific capabilities in future product roadmaps and drive Industries product vision into the market What you should have: 20+ years of executive-level experience in building and leading impactful software engineering teams with solid delivery focus and a consistent record of high-impact results Experience running a line of business as the engineering leader (i. e. creating engineering budget projections, run rates, headcount and infrastructure resource requests, driving hiring strategy, etc.
). Experience partnering with the Product organization in co-creating executable product vision and roadmaps Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to work under tight deadlines while being flexible and responding to changing business and technical conditions Mentor members of the team enabling them to deliver high-quality Systems & End User experience. You will apply engineering leadership and deep knowledge of software development at scale to lead the operation, adoption, and evolution of these services. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $343,000 to $459,000.
