Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division is currently hiring Metrology Manager 1 to join our team qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, California. The selected candidate will manage the Northrop Grumman Engineering Asset Management operations at our offsite area in Palmdale. The responsible manage a diverse organization of 10+ employees who manage test equipment rental pool, test, calibrate, maintain and repair electronic measuring and test equipment
(M&TE). Tasks include customer interaction, IWO management, staffing, employee development, establishing and implementing policy, program support, increasing organizational competitiveness and ensuring adequate laboratory technical capability.
Required skills include exceptional communication with all levels of personnel from entry level to senior leadership as well as external and internal customers. Essential Functions: Provide leadership and direction to team, ensuring sufficient statement of work, manage workload effectively, including, but not limited to: quality, cost, scheduling, subcontracting, cycle time, productivity and efficiency Manage employee performance and engagement including career planning Act as the first point of contact for technical issues with metrology technicians Liaison with Engineering Asset Management Leadership and offsite customer Participate in recruiting and hiring activities supporting the Metrology Services department The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED with 5 years of calibration/metrology/testing experience or Test Equipment Asset Management Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience This position requires the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need Preferred Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 1 years of relevant experience Experience in Metrology Systems based on industry standards Active, Do D Top Secret or SCI clearance Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
