What You'll Get To Do: Sentinel Facility Design Team oversees the design of the facilities that support the future upgrade to the Minuteman III missiles as well as the unique flight test facilities. Reviews application of codes and standards for correct interpretations. Supports the delivery of any of the following: Electrical facility design Technical Data Packages, Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts. Ensures design product quality by reviewing Electrical designs and validating that current standards are applied.
Supporting structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues. Developing and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of the technical baseline. Identifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities. Developing and maturing Electrical facility designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations.
