Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks to fill a Principal Engineer Software /Senior Principal Engineer Software in the Payload and Ground Systems Division
Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program.
This position can be filled at our Morrisville, NC or Linthicum, MD offices. Responsibilities include the following: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions Ensures software standards are met Maintain and improve the software CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, bug free delivery of critical business software to production Set up and deploy Development, Test, and Build environments Create and update Windows installers Install, test, and verify software products Maintain multiple baseline repositories Provide support for the software build and installation Basic Qualifications for a Principal Engineer Software : The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 years relevant experience with a Masters; 0 years relevant experience with a Ph D.
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Engineer Software : The candidate must have a minimum of 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelors in Science; 7 years relevant experience with a Masters; or 4 years relevant experience with a Ph D. The candidate must have demonstrable experience with the following: Java 1.8+ Developing in an automated CI/CD pipeline, unit testing, integration testing, and Automation frameworks like Robot or Cucumber Full Stack developer Active TS/SCI or TS with SCI eligibility, and willing to sit for a polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications : Strong front end experience in Java Script frameworks (Destiny) Working in Agile environment Developing microservice architecture in a Cloud environment Command and Control (C2) domain knowledge REST & JMS Data processing knowledge Git, Maven, Helm, Harbor Salary Range: $97,500 - $153,600 Salary Range 2: $121,000 - $190,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
