Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required. Duties: Conduct comprehensive patent searches and analyses to determine the patentability of inventions in the medical devices and mechanical engineering domains. Draft and prosecute patent applications related to medical devices and mechanical products. Collaborate with inventors, engineers,
and attorneys to gather necessary information for patent preparation. Provide legal counsel on patent matters, including infringement and validity opinions.
Assist in the development and implementation of patent strategies for clients in the biomedical and mechanical engineering sectors. Conduct due diligence on intellectual property matters in mergers, acquisitions, and licensing transactions. Stay abreast of developments in patent law and regulations relevant to medical devices and mechanical engineering. Requirements: High level of academic achievement.3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience. Degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering; other engineering
disciplines with substantial patent experience accepted.
