and corrective action plans, licenses, certifications, and external reports, and conduct proactive safety hazard backssments. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and protocols and stay up to date with any changes in the regulations and industry practices with respect to EHS.
Investigate accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future and draft inspection reports to document inspection findings. Ensure safety recordkeeping and provide accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives. Consult and work with compliance teams on safety regulations interpretations and investigations. Additionally, drive completion of industrial hygiene
(IH) qualitative risk/personal protective equipment (PPE) backssments and provide the data for cross site use. Evaluate exposure and toxicology implications in the use of new chemicals and approve their use as appropriate.
Ensure compliance to applicable local and national IH regulatory requirements and conformance to Intel IH standards. Coordinate the monitoring of workplace environments and be responsible for the recognition, evaluation, and control of those environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or injury among employees. Support site IH program self backssments and follow up plans and respond to customer/client
requests or events as they occur. Participate in incident investigation teams as the IH representative and represent IH in project reviews, pre startup safety reviews, and hazard reviews.
Perform onsite inspections of the existing facility and new construction to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards and investigate employee reports of unsafe and unhealthy working conditions. Conduct surveys of working conditions to determine the nature and magnitude of hazardous exposures and the effectiveness of existing control measures. Develop global, regional, and site industrial hygiene policies, programs, and procedural documentation based on regulatory requirements.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. Minimum Qualifications Candidate must have one of the following : The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in any field of Engineering or relevant science applicable to the Safety or Industrial Hygiene profession and 3+ years of experience managing Safety and Industrial Hygiene programs, or The candidate must have a Master's degree in any field of Engineering or relevant science applicable to the Safety or Industrial Hygiene profession and 2+ years of experience managing Safety and Industrial Hygiene programs.
Preferred Qualifications Current Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or desire to obtain one or both certifications. 5+ years of experience in the application of sound engineering principles and technical problem-solving. Demonstrated expertise in creating internal and external reports, presentations, performing data analysis etc.
