Duties: Conduct patent preparation and prosecution activities related to medical devices and mechanical engineering technologies. Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and legal professionals to gather necessary information for patent applications.
Draft and file patent applications with the USPTO, responding to office actions and examiner inquiries. Conduct patentability searches and analyses to backss the uniqueness and viability of inventions.
Assist in the development and management of patent portfolios for clients. Provide legal advice and opinions on patent matters, including infringement and validity analyses. Requirements: A bachelor's or higher degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering. Admission to the USPTO is mandatory.3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
