This is an exciting company with vast knowledge of material science, process engineering and material measurement/characterization. Scope: Summer Metrology engineering intern position supporting the manufacturing of high-quality glass material used in the semi-conductor and aerospace & defense markets. This is a dynamic position for an individual

to work as part of Corning Advanced Optics’ Metrology Engineering team.

Focus will be on improving existing measurement methods, programming to integrate measurement data into manufacturing systems and assisting with installation and qualification of new optical measurement equipment. Responsibilities include running measurement system analysis (MSA’s), software programming and assisting engineering staff with qualifying new measurement systems. Qualifications: Currently enrolled and pursuing an Undergraduate degree or higher in Physics or Optics Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. Good written and oral communication skills. Working knowledge of programming in C#, SQL, , Python or similar programming language.

This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $1,519.00 - $3,074.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
