under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data serving the U.
S. Air Force (USAF) and other Government Customers. Cloud One facilitates the Government's efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF operations. This position is hybrid remote. Some work will be required to be supported from a SIPR facility in either
Charleston, NC, Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA, or Gunter AFB in Montgomery, AL. Job Responsibilities: Analyze existing system architecture and recommend secure design changes to the Cloud One AWS environment based on project objectives Develop scripts and workflows as needed for automated deployment (Ia C/Ca C) Provide oral and written input to design documents, best practice configurations, and test procedures Execute testing to validate system performance IAW developed test plans and criteria Recommend improvements to the existing architecture and process to reduce repetitive or time-intensive tasks in favor of automated solutions Provide experienced input on AWS cloud toolsets and best practices
Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems Proactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies Qualifications REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Interim secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment US citizenship required REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Security + or equivalent certification REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years or more of work experience Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree Demonstrated experience with: AWS, Networking, VPNs, Iaa S, Paa S, SQL, storage, Terraform, Ansible, Jira, Confluence Knowledge of working with Dev Sec Ops tool chains Experience preparing technical documentation DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Zero trust architectures AWS Workspaces or experience deploying VDI solutions to AWS Cloud AF Cloud One or Platform 1 development, engineering, operations and sustainment Experience installing DE tools including Cameo, SPARX, Math Works, and AFSIM In-depth understanding of, and experience as a cloud engineer with AWS, Networking, VPNs, Iaa S, Paa S, SQL, storage, Azure AD, F5, Barracuda Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
