power supplies, laboratory grade area scan cameras, simple soldering, autocollimators, theodolites, inspection equipment, interferometers (e. g. microscopes), etc.
Perform rigorous laboratory experiments with ability to debug simple issues Perform optical alignment/test and electromechanical test/analysis Perfrom inspection and test of optical components Be able to interpret/write software for data acquisition and automation Optical sensors and motion control Write experiment documentation and detailed work instructions Perform data reduction and analysis. Be able to draft assembly/work instructions of optical-mechanical assemblies Develop software for hardware automation using tools
like Lab VIEW and/or Python Basic qualifications: - Bachelors Degree in Electronics engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience- 3+ years of related experience supporting related effort in laboratory environment dealing with optics, electronics, and mechanical hardware- Experience with lasers, detectors, modulators, optical fiber, lenses, filters and devices, testing and characterization- Experience with physical and geometric optics, Gaussian beam propagation and detection- Knowledge and experience with optical assembly and metrology- 3+ Years of experience coding in C- 3+ years of experience in Mat Lab- 3+ years of regular Lab View and Python development doing automation, data acquisition, and instrument control Preferred qualifications: Masters Degree in Electronics engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience Experience in automated testing and system characterization Knowledge of opto-electronics industry and component suppliers PDN-9addc8fb-2078-45eb-b58c-9a631d5a78b4
