Northrop Grumman Space Systems Payload and Ground Systems Division in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Chief Engineer (Lead of Thread Leads) for Mission Systems Engineering Integration & Test (MSEIT) for a Space Radar Payload program. Primary Responsibilities Will report to the Deputy MSEIT Lead. Responsible for day-to-day execution of the Thread Engineering and Performance Analysis team (size: ~5) under MSEIT Systems Engineering. Work with MSEIT thread leads (full and part-time) to define the system
architecture, develop requirement allocation documents (RADs), develop Mode Description Documents, update the Technical Description Sheet (TDS), and perform system analysis.
Interface with System Design team to provide inputs into requirement, verification, CONOPS, technical description, and other CDRLs. Interface internally with the lower level SEIT organizations (ground and payload). Support interfacing with Mission Partner and customer. Act as main thread lead gathering inputs from part-time thread leads Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or relevant STEM major with 14 years of related experience, 12 years with a Master's Degree, or 9 Years with Ph D Experience as a thread lead on a prime space program Strong Space Systems Engineering (SE) background Familiar with radar performance analysis, requirements decomposition, and mode definition.
Demonstrated leadership across IPTs of large program Demonstrated leadership of technical teams in meeting deadlines and producing deliverables within cost/schedule constraints. Ability to wield indirect influence across a larger program. A current/active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered Salary Range: $157,500 - $236,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
