This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Instructor A minimum of 2 years of independent clinical experience (excluding school/training) with children and adolescents.
Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP) or Physician Assistant license. Prescriptive authority and current DEA license. Experience working with LGBTQ+ youth in a clinical setting. Senior Instructor At least five (5) years of independent clinical experience (excluding school/training) working with children and adolescents at the Instructor or Senior Instructor rank within an academic institution. Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PNP) or Physician Assistant license. Prescriptive authority and current DEA license. Experience working with LGBTQ+ youth in a clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Three (3) or more years of experience supporting LGBTQ youth in a clinical setting. Demonstrated clinical experience working with vulnerable populations. Demonstrated clinical experience with reproductive health. Demonstrated experience with screening for, treatment of, and prevention of interactionually transmitted infections. Spanish speaking. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understanding of the complexity of caring for LGBTQ youth. Commitment to continuing education related to standards of gender affirming care and care of children and adolescents.
Ability to teach and supervise trainees. Familiar with delivery of confidential services surrounding sensitive topics such as physical and behavioral health, interactionual health, and other related topics.
