ncsu. edu/accounting/ Essential Job Duties: Primary responsibility for this full-time, non-tenure-track position is teaching Accounting courses in the undergraduate program beginning Fall 2024. Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience and credentials. The candidate is expected to teach accounting courses related to both financial and managerial accounting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach introductory courses to undergraduate students in a large lecture setting (as many as 350 students), along with traditional smaller sections and online courses.

Lecturers typically teach 4 class sections (12 credit hours) per semester (1-2 sections for each course). Candidates must also be a contributing faculty member to department and college service including activities such as advising student groups, mentoring and advising undergraduate students and managing and coordinating students teaching problem sessions for our large auditorium classes. Other Responsibilities: Contributing member of the Department, College, and University. Minimum Education and Experience: Requires Master’s degree in business or accounting, an equivalent degree, or substantial professional experience along with an active CPA license or equivalent certification.

Other Required Qualifications: Extensive understanding of accounting careers and job opportunities for accounting students This position will require substantial interaction with students both in and out of the classroom and the ability to mentor and advise undergraduate students Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of high-quality university or community college-level teaching through, for example, teaching evaluations and letters of recommendation. Required License(s) or Certification(s): Candidates without a master’s degree in accounting or an equivalent degree must be an actively licensed CPA or hold an equivalent professional certification.
