Major duties include reviewing and acting on admissions inquiries, applications and decisions; evaluating the academic credentials of domestic and international applicants; providing information and assistance to applicants, students, and departmental staff and faculty in order to interpret, explain and implement University rules, regulations, and procedures governing graduate admission; coordinating with Dashew Center on non-immigrant visa questions and concerns; training departmental staff in admissions matters individually
and through group training sessions.
Work with the manager and the Assistant Dean in short-range and long-range planning regarding the design of databases, forms, publications, procedures and staff training to fully and effectively implement academic policy of the Division of Graduate Education, Academic Senate/Graduate Council and UCOP.

Creative Writing Instructor - Romance Novel Writing Qualified applicants possessing current knowledge in writing and publishing novels in the romance genre are encouraged to apply. Prior teaching experience in these areas is preferred. Classes can be online or in person.
Classes held in person meet once a week for 10 weeks, typically evenings from 7-10pm PT. Online classes are either deadline-driven and asynchronous or offered live on Zoom. Many in person courses also take advantage of the online course format for distributing course materials, syllabi, assignments, and feedback. Instructor Duties: Develop or update course syllabus to meet campus approval requirements, in consultation with the UCLA Extension Program Director and Program Manager.
