Course Description This course is for accounting, tax, and finance professionals; international business managers; and lawyers who work with cross-border transactions involving the United States.

Instruction explores the application of U. S. tax law to U. S. individuals and entities conducting transactions outside the U. S. as well as foreign individuals and entities conducting transactions in the U. S. Topics include the distinction between U. S. - and foreign-source income, taxation of U. S. -controlled foreign corporations, international

tax treaties, taxation of cross-border acquisitions, the foreign tax credit, and transfer pricing. Students leave the course with an understanding of how U.

S. tax law applies to international transactions and how to identify the key international tax issues that must be addressed. Students also learn the general concepts and policies that compose the international elements of the U. S. tax code. Job Description Instructors teach students to understand the fundamentals, technical aspects, and concepts of the subject matter. More importantly they prepare students to utilize this understanding practically in the workforce. In addition to teaching proficiency in technical matters, instructors

utilize case studies and real-life examples wherever possible to help students take their understanding from the pages of the textbook into the work of the real world.

Since its inception, the UCLA Department of Epidemiology has established itself as a leader in epidemiologic theory and methods, applied epidemiology, and public health. We are looking for a candidate who will help us train the next generation of

epidemiologists and public health professionals in epidemiology methods as well as applications. The Fielding School of Public Health is located on the main UCLA campus in direct proximity to the other health sciences and professional schools (Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, and the College of Letters and Science) offering shared resources.
