Instructor-Heating and Refrigeration Systems HV-FAC-HVACF23 Full-Time Probationary MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree in Heating and Refrigeration from an accredited college or university and four years hands-on experience in an HVAC and/or maintenance related (or) Bachelor’s Degree in Vocational and Technical Education from an accredited college or university plus two years of hands-on experience in the HVAC (or) Bachelor’s Degree in any field from an accredited college or university and five years of hand-on experience in the HVAC field.
Proof of EPA 608 certification will be required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: The Heating and Refrigeration program is looking for a full-time instructor that specializes in the areas of residential and commercial HVAC systems, with knowledge of modern heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. The preferred candidate will also have experience in heat pump and geothermal systems.
The Instructor reports to the Department Chairperson of Applied Technologies and performs the following duties: DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide instruction in Heating and Refrigeration Systems. • Evaluate student performance. • Participation on departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported. • At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract. The Salary for this position is $48,981.00.
This is a 10-month position. Faculty in HRS typically teach overload and Workforce Development courses which significantly increase earning potential.
