Lead key Optimization and Continuous Improvement projects for the warehouse using sound analytical methods, sophisticated software skills, Lean and Six sigma methodology, change management, and communication tools to effectively operate a warehouse that will yield the highest productivity and efficiency.
Create and maintain a culture embedded in a tiered management approach to staffing and KPIs; Shift Start-ups, daily metrics, and staffing reviews against KPI's. Ensure effective communication to employees as needed. Ensures departmental procedures, SOPs and work instructions are updated and training provided to associates as required backsses the level of talent in key positions and implements development and mentoring activities to promote organizational growth.
Coordinates and implements cross-training programs for associates within the distribution center regarding the nature and application of operating policies and procedure. Must ensure safety first environment and be able to work diligently to maintain safe working conditions and adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses. Determine warehousing productivity standards for processes and labor. Responsible for the inventory control program and financial compliance.
Collaborates cross functionally to identify vulnerabilities and to close operational gaps. Ensure a high level of engagement with cross functional teams within the manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain teams. Aligns with all GMP, regulatory and ISO guidelines, including company policies and departmental procedures. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BA/BS degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field6- 8 years of experience in Logistics management including 1 year of direct P&L experience in a regulated distribution services industry. SAP experience, preferred Knowledge of principles and methods for distribution of product.
Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment. Expresses information clearly, information is organized in a logical manner; speaks using proper grammar, tone and pace.
