Help Desk Support Technician who is the first point of contact for employees and vendors seeking support. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all Town Pump profit centers throughout the state of Montana and Idaho.
Answering and responding to all customer calls while maintaining high quality standards set by our Facilities Help Desk Support Technician department is a must. COMPUTER SKILLS or EXPERIENCE: Basic understanding and knowledge of desktop computer hardware and operating systems. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel are minimum requirements). Experience with Internet browser software and
browser-based applications. Experience with or the ability to quickly learn and work with a variety of complex and system management and support tools. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: This is an in office job and requires the employee's presence inside the office each day.
Be present and visible to users in a support desk capacity providing solutions to include but not limited to the following: Facilities support, On Call support, building projects, and general maintenance for all Town Pump profit centers. Must be able to manage multiple projects in a detail-oriented manner as assigned by team members and/or leads. Update daily status reports, work logs, and shift handover reports.
Act as a liaison between customers, technical escalation teams, and vendors.
Perform a variety of common troubleshooting skills for HVAC, Plumbing, Deli, Refrigeration equipment, Fuel equipment and much more. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and composure and ensure sound decision making in a highly stressful, time sensitive, detail-oriented situations. OTHER DESIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to understand, comprehend and convey information from various technical manuals and run books. Ability to consistently demonstrate the values of urgency, compassion, and empathy in a fast paced environment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or equivalency is required.
Post-secondary education or Trade school related certification(s) are highly desirable. One or more years practical work experience is highly desirable. Equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver’s license with acceptable driving record. As a Resident Field Technician, you will report to the Service Manager in our Missoula, MT branch, or their designee. Job Requirements/Skills: Must demonstrate troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills. Must be able to stand for long periods of time along with walking, climbing ladders and stairs, reaching, pulling, leaning, and twisting. Requires a valid driver's class A or B CDL and the ability to maintain an
insurable driving record Accurately complete DOT E-Logs and maintain compliance with DOT hours of service. Must be able to work well independently or with others in a team environment.
Must be reliable, honest, and have a strong work ethic. Must have strong organizational and time management skills Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers. Must be able to lift up to75 lbs. Must own required tools. Ability to work overtime with minimal notice. Must be able to travel away from home. Strong computer skills. Education/Experience: High School diploma required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in diesel technology or related
field preferred and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of three to five years of verifiable experience repairing heavy equipment in a field service truck.
Prior dealership experience is beneficial. Experience with Komatsu as the primary equipment line is preferred, all others may apply. Independently troubleshoot and repair all systems (electrical, hydraulic, A/C, power train, etc. ) on Komatsu and other Modern Machinery affiliated product lines.
+ Operate equipment as needed to assist in locating and diagnosing the failure. + Utilize hand and power tools and electronic diagnostic equipment. + Read and interpret complex hydraulic and electrical schematics. + Perform diagnostic testing and tuning of equipment. + Have the experience and ability to determine the extent of the repair and the corrective action required. Follow all safety rules and policies while performing all work assignments as specified in company handbooks. + Adhere to any additional customer requirements, safety related and otherwise when working on a customer's site.

Perform assignments in a variety of environments, including the field, on customer's sites and in the shop. Complete and submit assigned work order reports, time entry and all other paperwork on company provided laptop daily. + When appropriate compile any additional documentation necessary for completeness. Assist other technicians on large repairs or projects. Attend and participate in appropriate training(s).
