What you'll do: The job of the installer exists to prepare the chassis for truck body installation; install required units in truck bodies as part of manufacturing of truck bed fabrication; additionally, may assist in other miscellaneous duties/related work as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares the chassis for truck
body installation. Install the body onto the chassis. Install the bumpers onto the chassis.
Install all wiring and electrical units in the chassis. Install accessories of aftermarket products Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following. manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Makes safety a priority WORK ENVIRONMENT: Inside shop work environment Frequent use of hands Frequent use of drill motors, impacts, overhead cranes and forklift machine Standing for long periods Constant kneeling and squatting Constant lifting & carrying heavy objects Exposure to environmental conditions What you need to be successful: Education: High School Diploma or GED Prior Experience: Electric and Welding Experience preferred, manufacturing experience required.
Computer Skills: N/A Technical Skills: Proficient with use of hand tools such as sockets, wrenches, screw drivers, rechargeable impact gun, rechargeable drill Industry-Specific Knowledge: N/A Preferred: General knowledge of auto mechanic knowledge Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required Other: This job description is intended to provide an overview of the requirements of the position.
