Responsible for the production of the company's products within prescribed specifications and efficient machine operation. Principal Duties & Responsibilities • Cooperate with HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) manager to implement all regulatory requirements for plant operations. • Set up production machines each day according to established procedures. • Operate production machines to produce parts in accordance
with established standards and guidelines. • Manipulate controls in an efficient manner to minimize waste. • Inspect produced parts for faultiness and report flaws immediately to management.
• Detect and report machine malfunctions promptly to management. • Maintain an adequate supply of operating materials for production machines and obtain additional materials according to • procedures. • Cooperate with QA manager to ensure customer needs are met. • Document production activity each day as assigned. • Package and transport produced parts as needed. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge
of: • Basic understanding of systems, operations, packaging and other facilities operations.
• Basic Record keeping, report preparation, filing methods and records management techniques. • General office procedures, policies and practices, as well as basic knowledge of computer and other general office equipment. Skill in: • Basic understanding of facility operations and maintenance. • Accuracy and attention to detail. • Using a PC with basic level proficiency in document/file management, word-processing, database management, email usage and Internet browsers. • Correct English usage, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary. Communicating clearly and effectively in English, orally and in writing.
• Organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up assignments independently. • Using tact, discretion, initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines. Heavy- and light-duty equipment and vehicles, two-way radio, cellular phone, PDA. • Software: MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Internet Explorer, Adobe, Great Plains.
