Strives to increase departmental efficiencies and cost savings on an ongoing basis. Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or maintenance engineering technology preferred. Experience: Minimum 4-6 years related on-the-job facilities experience required.
Forklift Experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skilled in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, hydraulic, hand tools, table saws, table drills, welder, and all air tools. Proficient in general maintenance work such as, but not limited to, patching, painting, framing, and concrete repair. Ability to follow detailed instructions to complete routine procedures and/or operate standard equipment. Intermediate verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with management. Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities: Performs all segments of the Company's maintenance function, working to repair and maintain air compressors, dryers, trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks. Assists with installation of new equipment. Works to maximize efficiencies of heating, air conditioning units and exhaust fans. Performs repairs and replaces defective parts for production and non-production equipment.
Assists with remodeling of office and plant including but not limited to, framing, dry walling, painting, and welding. Performs periodic maintenance on all production and non-production equipment on a routine basis as established by the Company or the manufacturer of the equipment. Installs and maintains Company utility lines (air, water, gas and electrical). Completes production documentation, including equipment repair logs, as needed. Recommends improvements in maintenance methods, working to reduce cost of replacement/repair whenever possible. Responsible for quality assurance and quality control functions within the department, working to ensure best quality output possible.
Responsible for adhering to the Company's Safety Program. Must be knowledgeable of and comply with the Company’s policies and procedures. Maintains stellar attendance. Work overtime as required. Properly operates all equipment related to the steam generator, solar field, steam turbines, and plant auxiliary equipment during routine, abnormal, and emergency conditions.

Basic knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and associated control devices installed in power facilities. Possess 2 year technical degree or equivalent Power Plant Operator qualifications. Two (2) or more years’ experience in a power plant or related industry.
