What you'll do: Ability to operate a MIG (metal inert gas) welding machine. Ability to adjust Voltage and WFS (wire feed time) settings on the Power MIG in accordance with material Determine the initial ratio of carbon dioxide to argon in their shielding gas based on the workpieces and conditions to achieve a clean weld and reduce
splatter. May connect hoses from torch to tanks of oxygen, acetylene, and/or fuel gas and turn valves to release mixture.
Should be accustomed to working with 1/2' tubing Should have at least 1+ months experience as a welder What you need to be successful: Display proficiency in hand tools such as rivet guns, electric tools, pressure gauges, etc. ) Ability to understand measurement on tape measure to 1/64' Knowledge of sheet metal (gauges) HS Diploma or GED required AWS Certification preferred Excellent attendance Positive attitude Strong and consistent attention to detail Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task Team oriented Must understand AWS welding symbols Must be able to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines Willing to: Learn and rotate within various weld areas Wear PPE respirators for an extended amount of time Improve self/area/company (including pursuing additional training, if needed) Able to work overtime on short notice.
