JOB SUMMARY This position reports to the Project Manager - Projects East.

The successful candidate will assume the roles and responsibilities of Construction Manager -Nicor Storage Regional Sites. This position will be responsible for the following: Safety First - be a champion for safety; set expectations; lead by example. Establish and maintain a Safety-First culture at the site and ensure all construction activities are planned and performed with safety

as the top priority. Establishing and maintaining a positive work culture. Management and oversite of onsite resources and daily activities in support of successful scope development, implementation, start-up and commissioning, and project closeout phases of projects for the Nicor Gas Storage facilities.

Provide input into contracting strategy and help establish and track performance against baseline schedule and budget. This includes developing / reviewing project constructability plans. Oversee contractors' safety, scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Plan and supervise project activities to ensure completion within schedule and budget requirements. Overall management of onsite contractors

and administration of their contracts using appropriate field resources.

Providing overall performance management and on-the-job training for TSS Construction leadership staff. The construction site manager will perform all duties in accordance with TSS Roles and Responsibilities documents and ensure each member of the Construction management staff performs accordingly. Ensure change management functions, invoicing/document control process, materials traceability, and other administrative functions are properly implemented. Assist in the development and dissemination of critical project statistical information (i. e. material quantities installed, man hours worked, early v.

late start, budget analysis, etc. ) Construction planning, Develop construction work packages/scope. Work with Project Engineer to ensure timely hand-off of engineering deliverables. Assist in the development of bid packages, conduct pre-bid meetings, support RFPs questions/clarifications, evaluate bids and make award recommendations. Analyze problems for solutions and coordinate corrective action with designers, vendors, and the Contractor. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management or related technical discipline strongly preferred.

Advanced Degree would be a plus. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Experience: Required - At least five (5) years of experience in a construction management-related role working on large capital projects ($15MM - $25MM) in a heavy industrial industry (i. e. power, oil & gas, chemical, pulp/paper, etc. ). Preferred - Minimum of 8 years working on large capital projects ($15MM - $25MM) in a heavy industrial industry in an engineering, construction, or project management-related role. Required - Experience assembling, bidding, and executing construction contracts.

Experience performing construction inspections. Experience leading a team of direct reports. Prior experience in upstream, midstream, or downstream natural gas project experience is preferred. Proven experience managing multiple projects, priorities and planning initiatives. Demonstrated track record leading teams to achieve superior results. Skills & Abilities: Strong written & verbal communication skills. Intermediate to advance skills in MS Office - Word, Excel, Office, and Power Point. Skills in the Critical Path Method and ability to work with project schedulers using Primavera P6 to build and maintain integrated project schedules.

Ability to use technology and systems applications to input, extract, and report information.
