JOB DESCRIPTION Backwinding Operator The associate participates in any improvement that is necessary to achieve a world class working environment. Total involvement in our program will enable Duncan Stewart Plant to produce the best quality product in a safe and efficient manner. Basic Job Responsibilities: The Backwinding Operator is responsible for creeling packages and
operating the winders, to include set-up and running winders to create first quality packages. The associate will be responsible for safety, quality, minimizing waste, repairs, documentation and production.
Specific Responsibilities: Creel in packages using an air splicer (package approximately 2 - 12 lbs. ) Move collapsible with pallet jack Thread winder Operate winder Verify the winder is properly set up for the given product Remove finished package from conveyor (2 – 6 lbs. ) Place finished packages into collapsible Maintain housekeeping in an orderly manner around winder. Do not discard anything onto the floor. Do appropriate audits in the area when scheduled. Complete production
