High school diploma or vocational school training. Minimum two (2) years of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance work experience. Microsoft Office applications and use of intranet and internet. Must have good mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of basic fundamentals of electrical maintenance.
Knowledge of industrial 3 phase equipment, controls, VFD drives, PLC and control devices. Ability to read electrical line diagram, ability to build control panels and interpret computer programs. Working knowledge of safety codes and other regulatory requirements. Prefer experience/knowledge with high-speed equipment. Must be detailed oriented. Must have good organizational skills. Must have good multitasking
skills. Must be able to meet established deadlines consistently. Experience with Extruders highly desired. Must be able to read and interpret technical documents (operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals).
Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude. Must have excellent trouble-shooting skills. Must have strong communication skills (written & verbal). Requires walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting to 75 lbs. regularly and independently. Requires occasional evening and weekend hours as business needs demand. Requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings. Responsibilities: Maintains, repairs,
and rebuilds production and peripheral machinery and equipment.
Provides preventative maintenance for all plant electrical issues or problems. Observes machines and equipment to test performance, troubleshoot and adjust functional parts and control instruments. Performs electrical installation on indoor room additions and modifications, minor building repairs inside and out. Keeps shop tools and maintenance equipment in good working condition. Ensures conformance with proper manufacturing practices, OSHA standards, health code regulations and company safety policies and Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
