Hire Job Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily maintenance and repair operations to ensure efficient production of confectionery products while meeting quality, quantity, safety, and cost standards. This role involves planning and assigning daily tasks, enforcing policies and procedures, and identifying opportunities for enhancing maintenance techniques, equipment, procedures, and working conditions.
Job Duties: Supervise hourly bargaining unit Maintenance employees, providing guidance, training, and clear communication of company philosophy, policies, and expectations. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety regulations,
and housekeeping standards. Maintain open communication with management regarding developments and opportunities for improvement. Foster the growth of Maintenance team members through effective performance management practices.
Cultivate a positive work environment that encourages continuous improvement, upholds company values, and treats all individuals fairly and respectfully. Qualifications: Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in an automated food manufacturing setting. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed. Proficiency in mechanical equipment design, fabrication,
power transmission components, and machine preventive maintenance.
Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, machine drawings, electrical diagrams, and PLC programs to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to address employee matters empathetically and professionally. Forward-thinking mindset with the capability to strategize and formulate action plans for achieving desired outcomes. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, demonstrated through effective decision-making. Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, along with experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems like Oracle or SAP.
