What you’ll be contributing: Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. Fabricates chute work, ducting, housings
and machines from blueprints. Repairs/replaces broken and worn metal parts using welding and repair tools. Welds hard facing of highly work parts. Fabricates, installs and rebuilds equipment ensuring proper operation.
Inspects plant equipment and machinery for preventive maintenance needs. Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Leadman or Maintenance Supervisor To succeed in this position, you will need: High school graduation or equivalent is required Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Willingness to learn, training will be provided What to expect in a cement environment: Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as
outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures.
Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure. What’s next for you? This includes providing electronic and mechanical maintenance, operation, sanitation, troubleshooting and repair of all processing equipment from raw washing through defect removal.
This job may also assist with the operation, electronic and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of other equipment throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Maintains Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs. Provides troubleshooting, repair
and support on the equipment, instrumentation systems and supporting equipment including most mechanical, some electrical and some electronic aspects when appropriate.
Documents, monitors, maintains, and assists with reporting of shift events, logging Preventive Maintenance data and assists with work planning utilizing information systems and productivity software. Utilizes computer and computer programs to communicate, document, and track shift information and ensures that all documents and reports are completed accurately in a timely and efficient manner. Operates processing equipment, from raw washing through pre-heating for all lines. Operates and monitors the raw sizing, foreign
material removal, peeling, optical sorting, scrubbing, and pre-heating systems to achieve optimum efficiencies.
Operates processing equipment from pre-heating to defect removal for all lines. Ensures set up for upcoming production runs and changeovers according to the production schedule. Enters work orders into JDE, performs work on work orders, approves and requisitions parts in JDE. Follows-up on work orders and close work orders out. Ensures that additional accountabilities required by management are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational standards. Ensures that incoming raw product meets quality standards. Ensures that peeling and sorting systems run at optimum efficiencies while maintaining quality specifications.
