Verifies last material hauled is acceptable, adheres to list of prohibited materials for previous haul, documents on receiving log previous haul Probes railcars and trucks following patterns mandated by quality system. Follows all quality sampling methods and testing requirements stated on bulk receiving grid and verifies material meets quality specifications. Rail Sample cars must be a composite of all 3
compartments Measures destination bin or tank to ensure material will fit prior to unloading. Measures density of each shipment received. Documents density on receiving log.
Operator will set proper route. Verifies correct route by verifying lights on the panel. Switches manual valves as needed. Removes upper grate and sets safety barrier when receiving cottonseed. Remove seals on top of railcars, opens hatch, inspects, and probes compartments. Documents seal #'s on POR. If contamination, pests, or irregularities notify management immediately Operator verifies initial discharge matches material listed on POR. Inspects /Cleans molasses strainer prior to unloading. Gathers a retain sample
of every shipment. Uses retain sample label and fills out all required information Monitors unloading of material and equipment.
Shuts down equipment when not in use. Ingredient Processing Sets proper routes for receiving, transfers, processing, grinding etc. Verifies correct routes are made by verifying lights on panels and visually verifying material is going to the correct bin or tank. Measures destination bin to ensure material will fit before transferring, processing, and/or grinding ingredient. Times transfer, processing, grinding to avoid overfilling the destination bin. Grinds RPM & Fines totes at the end of the shift or when requested by the packer. Keeps ground material bins full for mixing department.
Inspects grinder screens daily. Rolling - Operator will follow flaking process standards. Cracking - Verify that cracked corn rotex screen is free from any plug up prior to starting cracking. Daily startup & miscellaneous tasks to include a ccurately measures all bins and tanks per schedule or when requested by other production departments or management. Housekeeping & shift specific tasks - Cleans cooler duct and cooler as assigned. Clean spills and piles in a timely manner. This includes self-generated spills or spills caused by equipment failures.
Blows down receiving area. Physical Requirements Sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions Able to work in hot/cold/dusty environments Forklift certified - required. Not afraid of working heights greater than 5 feet Basic computer and math skills- required Overtime/weekends - required per business needs.
